Who are we
Education Partnership North East is a dynamic college group comprised of Sunderland, Northumberland, and Hartlepool Sixth Form colleges, with over 15,000 enrolled students including education programmes for young people, apprenticeships,
Higher Education and courses for adults.
Our purpose of ‘unlocking potential, creating opportunities, and transforming lives through outstanding education, training and skills’ is rooted in a fundamental belief that we can make a positive difference and build better futures for a changing world.
We are the top performing college group in the region (NARTs 2025), rated Outstanding in every area by Ofsted (2024) including Outstanding for our residential provision at our Kirkley Hall Campus (2025), In addition we are the North East Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC), and a national SEND Centre of Excellence.
Through collaborative partnerships, the group actively contributes to education, skills, and economic strategies across the North East and Tees Valley. We work with more than 500 North East employers, VCS organisations, schools, colleges, private training providers, universities, and local and combined authorities.
Our colleges deliver a pioneering, career-focused curriculum and we continually invest in world-class facilities to equip students with relevant skills and behaviours. As a result, 95% of our students progress to further study, university, or employment.
